Purposes of Data Processing

Legal Basis for Processing

In case of data processing indicated when using services offered on wiseu.com, the purposes are associated with:

  • Communicating with you regarding your purchase of services offered on wiseu.com – based on the legitimate interest pursued by the Controller – Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is contact with you;
  • Entering into and performing the service agreement offered on wiseu.com as specified in the Terms of Service available here – the basis for such processing is the necessity of data processing for the performance of the contract – Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR;
  • Conducting settlements, including tax settlements and maintaining accounting records – the basis for such data processing is the necessity to fulfil legal obligations incumbent on the Controller resulting from legal provisions – Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR;

Archiving documents, statistics, and potentially pursuing or defending against claims related to the performance of the Sales Agreement – the basis for such processing is the necessity of data processing for the realisation of the legitimate interests pursued by the Controller – Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interests include archiving documents, conducting statistics, pursuing claims or defending against claims.

 

Data Retention Period

Your personal data will be processed for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes for which the data is processed or until an objection is raised, if the basis of processing is the legitimate interest of the Controller, or until consent is withdrawn, if the basis of processing is expressed consent. Thereafter, the Controller will retain the data until the expiration of any claims or until the obligations to retain data required by law expire.

 

Categories of Recipients

Your data may be processed by subcontractors of the Controller – these are entities whose services the Controller uses in fulfilling their obligations. Currently, the Controller uses solutions offered by providers listed in the Privacy Policy available on wiseu.com.

Your personal data will always be processed using appropriate personal data protection and security measures. The Controller may transfer your personal data to countries outside the European Economic Area or to an international organisation, but only to entities that have adhered to the Privacy Shield framework, operate within EU countries, the US, or countries that have been granted an Adequacy Decision by the European Commission regarding personal data, which obligates them to comply with GDPR or equivalent regulations.

 

Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

The Controller may make decisions about you in an automated way, including profiling, solely on the terms described in the Privacy Policy available on wiseu.com.

  • lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority dealing with personal data protection (President of the Office for Personal Data Protection), if you believe that data processing violates GDPR.
